Irish Piers

Piers are quiet places of transition – between land and sea, human activity and the untamed landscape. Their stone walls, boats and weathered buildings tell stories of fishing, work and lives shaped by the Atlantic over generations.
Through long-exposure photography, movement and transience become especially apparent: water and uds soften and blur, while stone and ruins remain as enduring constants. The piers thus become places here landscape, history and traces of human presence meet in an almost meditative way.
